The Flow Master and Michael Jackson
This is a story of believing in yourself and of holding on to your dreams. It’s a true-to-life movie soundtrack about the Flow Master's life entitled "Life in the Fast Lane". It happened at the County Courthouse in Santa Maria, California. My friend Shaggy was attending one of the many court proceedings at the Michael Jackson trial. According to Shaggy, he (Shaggy) fell asleep during the proceedings. Shaggy said that Michael threw a paper airplane in his direction. Shaggy immediately woke and blurted; "who, what, where, when and how!" before he opened the paper airplane and saw a note that read, “Wake up Shaggy!” Shaggy said that he threw the paper airplane note back to Michael Jackson. Back in 2005 at the height of the craziness that was the Michael Jackson trial, I came face to face with the greatest entertainer in history. Televised world wide, with thousands of people just trying to get his attention, Michael Jackson took the time to take a look at the Flow Master CD “Life in the Fast Lane” and give me his signature. It all started while I was attending one of the afternoon court hearings like my friend Shaggy did. Michael approached and the surrounding crowd went crazy. Talk about being in the right place at the right time – like everyone else, I was yelling “Michael!” at the top of my lungs! After almost being trampled by the crowd, there I was face to face with the legendary king of pop Michael Jackson himself. As Michael approached, I handed him my CD “Life in the Fast Lane”. Michael looked at it, opened it, and then he looked up at me and smiled! I said “Michael let me know if you like it.” Michael continued to smile and nodded as he autographed my CD! Michael has been a big influence on me in helping me to create my own unique style of music. This music for the new generation – Piano Rap – is different, real and something kids and their parents can listen to...together! I will always remember and that day – it will be engraved in my mind for eternity for that is the day that the Heavens above opened and sprinkled star dust all over me. God truly works in mysterious ways and I will be forever grateful to have been given the opportunity to showcase my music to all of you - all around the world. Thank you Michael Jackson for making my dream come true. -The Flow Master – Jackie O |
